This little town of Perast is situated at the foot of St. Elijah Hill, opposite the narrow Verige strait, where the innermost bays of Risan and Kotor converge. This easternmost shore of Montenegro was the earliest inhabited area in the Boka-bay. Throughout the centuries, many empires battled for control of Perast but this town also reached its peak in the 18th century under the Venetian Republic.
Right in front of the town, there are two beautiful islets: St. George and Our Lady of the Rocks, each with a picturesque chapel.
As an only artificially island in the Adriatic Sea, the island of Our Lady of the Rocks (Gospa od Skrpjela) is the star of this place. According to a legend, the island was made over the centuries by local sailors who kept an ancient oath after finding the icon of Madonna and Child on the reef in the sea in 15 century.

The island has been built for over 100 years, as well as the church on it… In addition to many highly valued content, this church contains the largest collection of votive plates in the world, which count over 2000 and the oldest votive plate dates back to 1624.
In the near vicinity of the Gospa od Skrpjela, the island which people ascended from the sea, lies Saint George Island (Sveti Djordje), the island of completely different nature and destiny. Surrounded by rocky walls and hidden by high cypress canopy, this island seems to hide a secret and does not allow curious eyes to disturb its rather uncanny peace…
After visiting Perast town we’re going to Porto Montenegro.
Porto Montenegro represents one of the most desirable marinas on the Adriatic. The complex has a marina, residences, a 5-star Regent Porto Montegero Hotel, a collection of maritime heritage with valuable museum exhibits, located in the reconstructed building of the former Austro-Hungarian chalet, the Jaz Club, the Knightsbridge School International Montenegro International School.

Day 3
Last day of this adventure will start with a scenic drive from Kotor through Budva Riviera to Budva old town.
Budva is one of the oldest cities on the Adriatic Sea. It is surrounded by ramparts originating from the XV century including a medieval fortification system with city gates, defense walls, and towers.
The Old Town of Budva was badly damaged in the devastating 1979 earthquake but was completely rebuilt. Today Budva is the center of nightlife in Montenegro so it is the most popular place for young people but the town offer fun for everybody.
The wider area around the city of Budva, along with the coast, is known as the Budva Riviera. Budva Riviera is the center of Montenegro’s tourism and is known for its sandy beaches and small villages. If you want to take a swimming break at the first class beaches of Budva Riviera is the right place for you.
During our stay in Budva, after the walking tour, we continue with the panoramic drive to St. Stephan island where we will do the photo stop.
Driving to Cetinje is approximately 40 minutes long, and belongs to a panoramic drive. The road leads to the interior of Montenegro. With a gazebo from the village Brajici through which the road passes is a magnificent view of Budva and Budva Riviera.
As we drive that way, during this tour, it can happen to see paragliders who use Brajici springboard/airfield with its 850meters altitude. Pause in the lookouts will take away more 5 minutes of our time
Cetinje is known as the historical and cultural capital of Montenegro, and three buildings for which the city is most recognizable are Cetinje Monastery from 17 century, Njegoševa Biljarda (Billiard House) and the small church built for Royal family needs in 19 century.

Billiard House, the former residence of Petar II Petrovic Njegoš was built in 1838, is a place where a visitor can properly feel the time, circumstances and conditions in which the great Montenegrin secular and spiritual leader, poet, and philosopher, made his most important works.
Petar II Petrović Njegoš was a Prince-Bishop of Montenegro and the Serbian Orthodox Metropolitan of Cetinje, a philosopher, and poet, whose work is considered responsible for the modernization of Montenegro. His most famous work ‘’Gorski Vijenac” («The Mountain Wreath») in Vienna was rated as «the ingenious creator of the manuscript».
After exploring the town we drive up to the mountain and climb the many steps to the top of Mount Lovćen. The climb is not easy but the more you go up the more breathtaking the view is and once you reach the top you will feel invincible. Along the way, your guide will tell you the story of the ruler of Montenegro Petar II Petrović Njegoš who is buried on the top of the mountain in a magnificent mausoleum.
We continue our trip to Njegusi village.
Njegusi is the village near Cetinje and it’s crucial for the history of Montenegro and strongly attached to Cetinje. In the village, there is a house of Bishop Petar Petrovic Njegoš.
About the historical importance of Njegusi to Montenegro, we could write for hours and it is not easy even to describe the magnificent view and the beauty of nature to modern tourists. This is a place you simply have to see, to experience, to taste.
The road to Njegusi was the only link with Cetinje and Kotor and with all Montenegrin coast. The road constantly rises and reaches an altitude of 1000 m height that provides fantastic views from this road to the «Bride of the Adriatic». The view is hard to describe in words. Each serpentine, and there are 25 of them, presents a spectacular view of the breathtaking Boka Kotorska Bay.
During the trip, along with the way, there is also a restaurant which offers traditional food, brandy and wine. All are homemade and tasty. We will organize a snack/lunch stop here.
While coming down and nearing the end of our ride we will stop once at Trojica hill to take photos.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 4
