Description

This trip to the Philippines will give you a glimpse into a magical and hidden world in this virgin island state. Our hikes will take us to flooding waterfalls, active volcanoes, famous rice terraces by foot and in the jeep. Then you will tour El Nido Island, transfer to Bohol Island for a stroll on the chocolate terraces and villages, whales cruise, an underground lake cruise and transfer to the amazing Buracay island to one of the high quality resorts. On the way back home we will visit vibrant city of  Manilla

Routes and Schedule

Day 1: Arrive Manila

 Upon arrival, meet and greet at airport by our local representative then proceed to hotel for check-in. The rest of the afternoon is free at leisure. Overnight at Manila.  

Day 2: Pagsanjan Falls and Taal Volcano Tour

 Breakfast at the hotel. Early morning departure from hotel to Pagsanjan Falls. We will experience an exhilarating boat ride through the famed rapids. Expert boatmen take you “shooting through the rapids” in an exciting downriver descent to end at the wondrous Pagsanjan Falls .After lunch proceed to Talisay for Taal Volcano Trekking. Discover the breath taking Taal Volcano situated in Taal Lake. The tour is by boat across the Taal Lake which surrounds the Volcano. Then the tour continues with horse riding up the mountain of Taal. After the tour, drive back to Manila. Overnight at hotel in Manila.  

Day 3: Manila to Banaue via Cauayan

 In the morning transfer to airport for domestic flight to Cauayan. Arrive Cauayan, meet the driver and then transfer to Banaue. The rest of the afternoon is free at leisure. Overnight in Banaue.  

Day 4: Batad Day 

In the morning transfer to our tour in Batad. You will  feel like an adventurer as you trek to Batad Rice Terraces. From a distance, the terraces resemble an amphitheater with a village at its foot inhabited by the Ifugaos. You will be greeted by locals and other trekkers, in the village of Batad. After lunch in a local restaurant in the village we head back to the Point where the jeep awaits to take you back to your hotel.

Overnight in Banaue.  

Day 5: Hapao Day Tour

After breakfast Proceed to Hapao Day Tour via local jeep. Hapao Rice Terraces – an easier trek through the terraces where paths are wider and not as steep as those of Batad. Visit Head Hunter Village, then last stop at the town market where you can have your lunch. Back to hotel, freshen-up before going back to Cauayan 

Overnight in Cauayan.          

Day 6: Cauayan to Manila

 After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight back to Manila. Arrive Manila and transfer to your hotel.The rest of the afternoon is free at leisure (or have an optional Manila City Tour or Shopping Tour). 

Overnight at hotel in Manila.  

Day 7: Manila to Bohol – Countryside 

Early morning departure to airport for domestic flight to Bohol. Upon arrival at Tagbilaran, meet the tour guide and proceed to Countryside Tour. Enjoy a full day tour to the scenic countryside of Bohol, a beautiful showcase of history, culture and nature in one destination. Visit the centuries-old Baclayon Church (Ruins) & Museum, view the Tarsiers, the oldest known smallest primate that lives in Bohol. Enroute to the Chocolate Hills, drive through the lush Mahogany Man-Made Forest and the green farmlands in Bilar and Batuan. In Bilar visit a Butterfly Farm. Drive back to Loboc, for a 50-minute river cruise along nipa-lined river on board a native catamaran.  A sumptuous lunch of local cuisine is served on board. After the tour, proceed to hotel for check-in. Overnight at hotel in Bohol.  

Day 8: Pamilacan Marine Life Tour with Dolphin Watching

Early morning departure for Pamilacan Island Tour. The seawaters around Pamilacan Island are home to at least 6 species of whales & dolphins.  If you are lucky, these whales maybe sighted between Februarys to August. Also residents in the area are different species of dolphins. Other activity in this tour includes swimming & snorkeling around Pamilacan Island, a village tour. Picnic lunch will be served in the island. After the tour, transfer back to hotel.

 Overnight at hotel in Bohol.  

  Day 9: Bohol to Puerto Princesa via Cebu 

After breakfast, transfer to Tagbilaran Pier Ferry. By Oceanjet we arrive at Cebu. Proceed to airport for our flight to Puerto Princesa. Once arriving you will be transferred to your hotel. In the evening, pick-up at hotel lobby for shared Firefly Watching tour with dinner   

Firefly Watching Tour is 30 to 40 minutes from the city proper. The wide range of forest mangroves of this place is the perfect habitat for fireflies where you can enjoy thousands to millions of these creatures dancing in the trees. 

After the tour, back to hotel.

 Accommodation at f hotel in Puerto Princesa. 

 Day 10: Underground River Tour

Breakfast at the hotel. Pick-up for shared Underground River Tour – one of the world’s longest underground rivers. The St. Paul’s Underground River is located within what has been designated Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park which is about 81 kilometers from Puerto Princesa City. From there, it is a 20-minute outrigger boat ride to the park where guests board smaller outrigger canoes for the journey inside the underground river. The boat travels three kilometers into the cave and one is exposed to a spectacular display of rock formations and cathedral-like chambers, which Mother Nature has sculpted for millions of years. The river has also been recently declared as a World Heritage site and was recognized as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Lunch at a local restaurant. After the tour, a private van will take you to El Nido.

 Arrive El Nido, check-in to hotel..  

Day 11: El Nido Island Hopping Tour

 After Breakfast at the hotel. Pick-up for Island Tour. Tour A – takes you to three of the most beautiful lagoons located around Miniloc Island: Small Lagoon, Big Lagoon and Secret Lagoon. Swim and snorkel and enjoy the breathtaking views these three lagoons offer. Tour A also takes you to Shimizu Island where a white sand beach awaits eager sunbathers. Shimizu is also where you will stop for lunch and spend most of your time. Next stop will be 7 Commando Beach. This beach prides itself with its white sand beach. A little bar that will serve you refreshing tropical fruit juices as well as alcoholic drinks. 

 After the tour, back to hotel.

 Overnight at hotel in El Nido. 

 Day 12: El Nido Island Hopping Tour

 Breakfast at the hotel, Pick-up for Island Tour.  First stop is at the Bacuit archipelago. Many people argue about its peculiar shape. Some say it looks like a helicopter, some a camel, a dolphin and even a dinosaur! Find out for yourself and let us know what you think.  Next stop is Matinloc Shrine. Walk around this abandoned convent and school and even climb a rock formation if you are adventurous! After lunch, you will be brought to three spectacular beaches: Secret Beach, Star Beach and Hidden Beach.

 After the tour, back to hotel.

Day 13: El Nido to Boracay 

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time until transfer to airport for flight to Boracay. Arrive Caticlan and  proceed to your resort .

  Day 16:  Boracay to Manila

 Breakfast at the hotel. Free time until transfer to airport. 

Arrive Manila and  proceed to your hotel. Overnight at hotel in Manila.

   Day 17: Manila Departure

After breakfast, have free time shopping until transfer to airport for departure.
