On this trip in Montenegro we will discover the essence of this small country with the most impressive natural treasures in the world. We will tour the coasts of the Adriatic, the cities of the coast and will pass through the world’s deepest canyons with insane amounts of water to the peaks of the alpine mountains. We will visit rock-cut monasteries. A celebration of green color and clear water in the coastal cities and the central cities in the mountains which are departure points for nature reserves.
Day 1 –Tivat –Budva
Ones arriving to tivat airport our local representative will meet you. Done with visa process we start
driving along Montenegro coast having couple of stops along our way visiting ancient places.
Overnight in hotel nearby.
Day 2 – Cetinje –Mount Lovcen-Kolasin
After breakfast, we will head now to Cetinje along a panoramic drive to the interior of Montenegro with magnificent view of Budva and Budva Riviera. Ones we reach Cetinje, the historical and cultural capital of Montenegro we”ll have a visit to the monastery, the small church and the billiard house all buildings from the 19 century.
After exploring the town, we drive up to the mountain and climb the many steps to the top of Mount Lovćen. The climb is not easy but the more you go up the more breathtaking the view is and once you reach the top you will feel invincible. Along the way, your guide will tell you the story of the ruler of Montenegro Petar II Petrović Njegoš who is burried on the top of the mountain in a magnificent mausoleum.
Late afternoon we will continue our drive to Kolasin, passing by Podgorica, The Capital of Montenegro. Overnight in Kolasin.
Day 3- Kolasin
A day to explore Kolasin and its nearby sorrounding. You can have light hike to nearby natural surroundings, horse rides, katun tour or yoga retreat.
Overnight in kolasin.
Day 4 – Jeep safari day
After having breakfast we will have a Jeep safari tour over Mountain Bjelasica with several stops for panoramic views, photo shooting, visit to village household. The tour will end on Biogradsko Lake with a light hike around the lake and through primeval forest.
Around the end of the day return to Kolasin, overnight in Kolasin.
Day 5 – Monastery Day
After breakfast in hotel, we will start todays program. From Kolasin we will drive south, first we will visit ancient Moraca Monastery (cultural heritage from 13th century), then we will continue our drive towards Ostrog monastery, with a couple of stops for landscape view, photo shooting. Visit to Ostrog Monastery will last for 2-3 hours (lower and upper monastery).
Late in the after-noon back in kolasin.
Day 6- Dormitor Day
We will depart from Kolasin early in the morning. We will have a panoramic drive through The Tara Canyon, with several stops for panoramic views, photo shooting. Our drive will end in Zabljak – Mountain Town, close to The Dormitor National Park. We will make a combined drive and hiking tour to the park, visiting The Black Lake, pine forest, viewing spots.
Overnight will be arranged in Zabljak.
Day 7- Departure.
After breakfast in hotel, we will drive to Tivat airport according to your flight schedule.
