   Day 1- Casablanca                                                                              

Welcome to Morocco!

Arrival at Mohamed V Casablanca airport, you will be welcomed & assisted by our local representative. Casablanca is the economic capital of Morocco and home to the largest Jewish community in the country.

Day 2 – Casablanca – Tangier                                                                     

Morning visit to the Hassan II Grand Mosque, followed by a visit to the Mellah, the Jewish quarter, with its temples and synagogues. Departure to Tangier. Tangier is the contrast to architecture and was once home for foreign residents such as Paul Bowles, Barbara Hutton, and Malcolm Forbes. The tour will include the Jewish quarter “Mellah”, Nahon synagogue, dating from the 17th century, and the synagogue Shaar Raphael.

  Day 3 – Tangier –Chefchaouen               

Today, your driver will take you to the blue pearl Chefchaoeun. Set against a wide valley and nestled between two peaks in the stunning Rif Mountains, much of Chefchaouen was recreated by Andalusian refugees escaping the Reconquista, so you might feel like you’re in the hills of Spain. Chefchaouen’s Jewish heritage is visible in one of its most distinctive characteristics: the picturesque blue-rinsed buildings that line the city’s narrow streets.Continue afterward to Fes.

Day 4- Fes                                                                                                                                                 

After breakfast, full-day sightseeing of Fes. Fez has always been considered as one of the known cities in medieval Jewish history. Step back into the Middle Ages in the labyrinth of the Medina, which is alive with craftsmen, markets, tanneries, and mosques. It was home to one of the most influential Talmudic scholars of all times, Rabbi Isaac Alfasi, as well as Maimonides in the years 1160 to 1165. Visit the Mellah with its synagogues. Explore the specialty sections that divide the souk. Visit Medressa el Attarine and the splendid Foundouk Nejjarine: a beautifully restored 18th-century inn. You’ll also visit the tanneries, known for the iconic view overlooking its dye pits, and a ceramics factory where you can see potters working in the traditional Fes.

Day 5 –  Fes-Seffrou-Bhalil Town-Fes

After breakfast, departure to Sefrou, en the route stop on Bhalil town, it is notable for its unique cave houses located in the old  part of the village, and for its eclectically colored homes, linked together by a network of bridges, then continue to Sefrou is well known for its cherry festival, which is considered one of Morocco’s oldest and most prominent regional celebrations by the UNESCO.   Agriculture is the main activity in the region.  The mountainous terrain is the ideal place for fruit trees, especially cherries. The Town was known as Little Jerusalem due to its high percentage of Jews and its well-developed religious life. Visit the Jewish quarter of the Mellah, which still stands in Sefrou’s medina. It is distinguished by its low walls and reached by crossing a short bridge over Ouad Aggi.

Day 6 – Fes – Erfoud- Merzouga                                            

After breakfast, departure via the Middle-Atlas Mountains, passing by Ifrane and Azrou, an important handicraft center. Continuation to Erfoud. Take the 4-wheel drive cars to the gigantic Merzouga dunes, the charming Saharan village of Merzouga feels wonderfully isolated, like the modern world has left it behind. Upon arrival, a welcoming mint tea will be presented. Take the camels and enjoy an outstanding ride along the dunes to attend one of the most magnificent sunset in the world.

Spend the night in a desert camp under the stars.

Day 7 – Merzouga -Todra – Rose Valley-Ouarzazate                               

After breakfast in the desert, drive to Tinghir for a visit to Mellah gateway and the ancient colorful Jewish quarter. Afterward, we will drive you to Tiliit, known as the ancient city of Jews of the Dades. We will continue afterward to Ouarzazate. Check-in the hote

Day 8 – Ouarzazate-Taourirt 

Visit of Ouarzazate and Taourirt Kasbahs. Departure to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, the most spectacular fortress in the south of Morocco. This was an important stop for caravans carrying salt across the Sahara. Today, it is grand kasbah, a fine example of clay architecture that has been listed as a World Heritage site. Continuation to Taourirt through the Tichka pass.

Day 9 – Taroudant- Marrakech  

After breakfast, sightseeing of Taroudant, a gorgeous city in the Souss valley south of Morocco, it is one of the oldest Medinas of Morocco. Well-known, with its beautiful gardens, tanneries, ochre-colored ramparts, gateways, bustling and winding alleyways, colorful souks of fine-tooled cotton and wool, antiques, spices, and Argan oil. The Jewish community in Taroudant is believed to have been established in the eleventh century. It has a mellah and a large Jewish cemetery. The Most important Tarodaunt saint is David Ben Baruk Cohen Azog. Within the Tarodaunt region in Southern Morocco, you will have the unique opportunity to see one of the only Adobe synagogues in the world. It is located in the tiny village of Arazan. This 700-year-old Adobe synagogue has Hebrew prayers painted on its earthen walls and an ark with Berber writing that adorns it. Departure to Marrakech

Day 10- Marrakech                                                                                                                                    

Full day sightseeing of Marrakech is the “pearl of the south” founded by the Almoravides dynasty at the end of the 12th Century. The tour includes a morning visit to Bahia Palace, Menara garden, and Koutoubia mosque. Afternoon walks through the 16th-century Jewish quarter and visits the Rabbi Hanania Hacohen Cemetery, the burial place of Rabbi Mordekhai Ben Attar and Rabbi Pinhas Hacohel. Visit the souks to explore colorful alleys, and handicraft quarters, displaying a variety of items and the famous place Djemaa El Fna with its non-stop entertainment. Optional dinner at Fantasia Chez Ali, a place of 1001 nights. Enjoy authentic Moroccan food under Caidal tent with a memorable show: Belly dancers, acrobats, riders, fireworks, folk music.

Day 11- Marrakech – Imlil

Imlil is a small village at the foothills of the highest mountains in Morocco Toubkal mountain. Due to its unique position and its connection to several Berber villages and a very popular start point for treks and hikes for climbing Toubkal mountain. We will ride mules for around 40 minutes towards the south to the Berber village in the upper-level foothills of the Western High Atlas mountains. Lunch will be served in a Berber house in the village. Back to Marrakech.

Day 12 – Marrakech-Essaouira

Today you will drive to the coastal town of Essaouira. This town was fortified by a French-influenced architect named Vauban and also formed the settling ground for a large Jewish population, so the city has an eclectic, multicultural feel. Essaouira was once over 30% Jewish and contained over thirty synagogues as well as the tomb of Rabbi Haim Pinto who is the object of an annual pilgrimage in the week proceeding Rosh Hashanah, situated in the vast Jewish cemetery adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 13 – Essaouira – El Jadida– Casablanca

After breakfast, departure to El Jadida, located along Morocco’s Atlantic Coast, between the nation’s largest city of Casablanca and the popular coastal town of Essaouira. El Jadida is a fortified town famous for its citadel, ramparts, bastions, tanks, and port. Visit the old medina, the restored Consulate, and Church along with the Jewish Mausoleum. Continue to Casablanca

After breakfast, transfer to Mohamed V airport for departure
